Having played drums since the age of thirteen, Jon is self-taught. He learned by watching local musicians as well as inspirations perform. Jon has performed with many bands including: Ophier, Oliver Lane, The Cate Brothers, Oreo Blue, Insight, Seth Freeman, Judge Parker, Wes Jeans Band, Dean Agus Band, and the Tablerockers.
Jon's many influences include: Danny Carey, Neil Peart, Ronnie Brooks, Brannen Temple, Tommy Taylor, Chris Layton, John O'Steen, Jimmy Ayoub, John Bonham, Carter Beauford, Adam Hagerman, Joey Gladstone, Josh Trager, Butch Trucks, Artimus Pyle, Brandon Alanis, Chad Smith, and Mitch Mitchell.
